Johnny’s career started behind the bar at an Italian bistro in the suburbs of Minneapolis and quickly evolved into something much bigger. From slinging martinis in a Russian-themed nightclub inside the Foshay Tower to crafting fun, infused margaritas at a small taco joint in Uptown, he built his foundation through a wide range of concepts and experiences—eventually opening several restaurants across Minnesota.
In 2018, Johnny moved to the Chicagoland area, where he refined his craft at a higher level, stepping into a beverage director role focused on building cocktail programs, training teams, and creating menus with creativity, precision and consistency.
Along the way, he recognized a consistent gap: no shelf product matched the quality and intention of what bartenders were creating and infusing in-house.
Barman’s was born to change that.
